Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,673.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastiaan Theodorus Voorn Boers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with peaches and grapes on a ledge, which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 11,116.90 (€ 4,729.39).
