Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with cherubic figure, bananas, wine cork and Mr. Peanut figurine by Scott Prior for USD 375.00 (€ 273.92). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Scott Prior have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nanny and Max in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,625.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with cherubic figure, bananas, wine cork and Mr. Peanut figurine von Scott Prior für USD 375,00 (€ 273,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Scott Prior auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nanny and Max im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.625,63).
