Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn Moon by Scott Kahn was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 24,320.00 (€ 2,915.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Scott Kahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA in May last year with an auction result of HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,335,616.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Autumn Moon von Scott Kahn wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 24.320,00 (€ 2.915,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Scott Kahn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.335.616,44).
