The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,803.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Lion Hunt (After Peter Paul Rubens) (Hollstein 298) is the most expensive artwork by Schelte Adams Bolswert that we have observed at auctions so far.
