Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave, which included this untitled work by Sayre Gomez. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,879.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sayre Gomez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Valley Boy in September this year with an auction result of USD 88,900.00 (€ 83,994.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sayre Gomez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.879,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sayre Gomez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Valley Boy im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.900,00 (€ 83.994,71).
