Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Prince Serge Obolensky (1890-1978) by Savely Abramovich Sorine was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,293.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Savely Abramovich Sorine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Of Roses And Lilac in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 198,769.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Prince Serge Obolensky (1890-1978) von Savely Abramovich Sorine wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.293,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Savely Abramovich Sorine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses And Lilac im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 198.769,27).
