Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Totem by Satish Panchal was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Satish Panchal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,975.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Totem von Satish Panchal kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Satish Panchal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.975,14) versteigert wurde.
