Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sarandis Karavousis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November this year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Still Life sold for EUR 5,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarandis Karavousis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Composition, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 17,465.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sarandis Karavousis erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life für EUR 5.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarandis Karavousis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Composition beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 17.465,56) versteigert wurde.
