Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bottles by Sarandis Karavousis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,063.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarandis Karavousis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Composition, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 17,465.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bottles von Sarandis Karavousis wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.063,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarandis Karavousis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Composition beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 17.465,56) versteigert wurde.
