The work Three vignettes of Sark (illustrated); and Three evening views by Sarah Louisa Kilpack was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Sarah Louisa Kilpack have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rough weather. The Grande Rocque, Cobo Bay, Guernsey in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,418.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three vignettes of Sark (illustrated); and Three evening views von Sarah Louisa Kilpack wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.167,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Louisa Kilpack auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rough weather.
