Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included this untitled work by Sarah Crowner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 56,792.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sarah Crowner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 334,898.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sarah Crowner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 56.792,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Crowner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 334.898,56).
