This work without title by Sarah Crowner was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sarah Crowner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 334,898.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sarah Crowner wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Crowner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 334.898,56).
