Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Bird Form) by Sankho Chaudhuri was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,609.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sankho Chaudhuri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of INR 3,250,000.00 (€ 41,044.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Bird Form) von Sankho Chaudhuri kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.609,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sankho Chaudhuri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 3.250.000,00 (€ 41.044,78).
