Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Pagina n. 22: gloria a Maleldil by Sandro Martini was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at EUR 3,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sandro Martini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Quantità cristero sold at auction in December 2016 with the realized price of EUR 5,500.00.
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Pagina n. 22: gloria a Maleldil von Sandro Martini im Juni 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 3.200,00 mehr als viermal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sandro Martini; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Quantità cristero im Dezember 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.500,00.
