Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Visitation by Sam Fullbrook was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 41,125.00 (€ 22,764.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sam Fullbrook have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2007 the work Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes was auctioned for AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,962.30).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 41.125,00 (€ 22.764,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
