Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings, which included the work A Dutch Street Scene by Samuel Prout. The auction ended at the price of GBP 600.00 (€ 815.30), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Prout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch Street Scene von Samuel Prout zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 815,30) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Prout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.684,44).
