It achieved a price of GBP 16,640.00 (€ 19,282.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Samuel John Lamorna Birch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Where'er you walk in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 110,903.66).

Die Arbeit Family at Lamorna von Samuel John Lamorna Birch wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 16.640,00 (€ 19.282,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel John Lamorna Birch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Where'er you walk im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 110.903,66).
