Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Samuel John Lamorna Birch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the British and European Art auction, the work Boats In Lamorna Cove sold for GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Lamorna Birch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Where'er you walk in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 110,903.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel John Lamorna Birch erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Boats In Lamorna Cove für GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel John Lamorna Birch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Where'er you walk im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 110.903,66).
