It achieved a price of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,819.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Samuel John Lamorna Birch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Where'er you walk in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 110,903.66).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel John Lamorna Birch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Where'er you walk im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 110.903,66).
