The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,442.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel Howitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A pair of tigers in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 11,162.50 (€ 18,678.27).
