In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work Figures and a dog on a rural track by Samuel David Colkett. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,673.03), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Samuel David Colkett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures on a path in a wooded landscape; and Figures resting by a pond in a wooded landscape with cottages beyond in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,681.96).

Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures and a dog on a rural track von Samuel David Colkett zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.673,03) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel David Colkett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures on a path in a wooded landscape; and Figures resting by a pond in a wooded landscape with cottages beyond im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.681,96).
