Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Church At The Hospital Of St. Nicholas, Harbledown, Near Canterbury by Samuel Bough was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,231.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Bough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London From Shooters Hill in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,379.90).
