Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Newhaven harbour on the Firth of Forth (illustrated); and Leith harbour, Edinburgh by Samuel Bough was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,557.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Bough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London From Shooters Hill in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,379.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Newhaven harbour on the Firth of Forth (illustrated); and Leith harbour, Edinburgh von Samuel Bough wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.557,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Bough erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit London From Shooters Hill im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.379,90).
