In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes, Objects of Vertu and Portrait, which included the work A young gentleman, facing right in blue coat with gold buttons, white waistcoat and frilled cravat, powdered hair en queue by Sampson Towgood Roch.
