In December last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Mountains and Trees 12 x 16 in. framed 19 x 23 in. by Sam Hyde Harris. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,787.72), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Hyde Harris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Quinta Wash in August last year with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 20,268.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountains and Trees 12 x 16 in. framed 19 x 23 in. von Sam Hyde Harris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.787,72) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Hyde Harris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Quinta Wash im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 20.268,26).
