In the California Art auction, the work Invictus (Monterey Cypress) sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 5,320.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Hyde Harris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Quinta Wash, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 20,400.00 (€ 20,268.26).
