Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art | London, which included the work Untitled (drop cloths, 1) by Sam Falls. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,137.65). Admittedly, works by Sam Falls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Every Season, All Weather in November last year with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 48,823.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art | London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (drop cloths, 1) von Sam Falls zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.137,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Falls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Every Season, All Weather im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 48.823,02).
