In November 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work A Wooded River Landscape With A Peasant Crossing A Bridge And Fishermen In A Boat, Cottages Nearby by Salomon Rombouts. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 21,600.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salomon Rombouts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A village kermesse with figures, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 45,000.00 (€ 49,407.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 21.600,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
