Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Village Market Scene by Salomon Rombouts. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,518.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salomon Rombouts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A village kermesse with figures, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 45,000.00 (€ 49,407.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Village Market Scene von Salomon Rombouts zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.518,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Salomon Rombouts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A village kermesse with figures beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 45.000,00 (€ 49.407,01) versteigert wurde.
