In the Master Paintings and Drawings auction, the work David and Bathsheba mourning their dead son sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,540.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salomon Koninck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An old man counting money in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 193,500.00.
