Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In January this year Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online, which included the work An elderly woman, seated with a bible by Salomon Koninck. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,123.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salomon Koninck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An old man counting money in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 193,500.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit An elderly woman, seated with a bible von Salomon Koninck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.123,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salomon Koninck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An old man counting money im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 193.500,00.
