Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Three Men with Trays by Salman Toor. The price achieved of GBP 315,000.00 (€ 365,940.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salman Toor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4 Guests, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Men with Trays von Salman Toor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 315.000,00 (€ 365.940,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Salman Toor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 4 Guests beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28) versteigert wurde.
