Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jinnah With Fruits by Salman Toor was auctioned at Phillips in London in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,275.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salman Toor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 4 Guests in November last year with an auction result of USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).

Die Arbeit Jinnah With Fruits von Salman Toor kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.275,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salman Toor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 4 Guests im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28).
