Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beached Boat by Sali Herman was auctioned at Bonhams in Melbourne in September 2020. The price achieved of AUD 4,880.00 (€ 4,164.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sali Herman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Railway Station, 1947 in April this year with an auction result of AUD 73,800.00 (€ 44,233.21).

Die Arbeit Beached Boat von Sali Herman kam im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.880,00 (€ 4.164,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sali Herman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Railway Station, 1947 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 73.800,00 (€ 44.233,21).
