Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Salem El Habashi could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Egyptianuntitled changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,409.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salem El Habashi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Naufrages in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,011.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Salem El Habashi konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wechselte die Arbeit Egyptianuntitled für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.409,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salem El Habashi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Naufrages im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.011,52).
