Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Egyptianuntitled (Valley Of Nudes And Shells) by Salem El Habashi for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,829.89). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salem El Habashi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Naufrages, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,011.52).
