In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Egyptianuntitled (Still Life) by Salah Yousri. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,638.46), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Salah Yousri; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Temps des Labours (The Time of the Labourers) sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,204.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Egyptianuntitled (Still Life) von Salah Yousri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.638,46) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Salah Yousri; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Temps des Labours (The Time of the Labourers) im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.204,04).
