Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Turkish, which included this untitled work by Sabri Berkel. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,413.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sabri Berkel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,154.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sabri Berkel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.413,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sabri Berkel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.154,31) versteigert wurde.
