The work A tune in the tavern; and A fine vintage by S. Maresca was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,673.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A tune in the tavern; and A fine vintage is the most expensive artwork by S. Maresca that we have observed at auctions so far.
