Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included the work The Tree of Life by S. G. Vasudev. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by S. G. Vasudev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work She And Mountains in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 14,878.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Tree of Life von S. G. Vasudev zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.407,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von S. G. Vasudev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit She And Mountains im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 14.878,56).
