Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryan McGinness could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,686.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryan McGinness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mutual Information in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryan McGinness konnte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.686,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryan McGinness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mutual Information im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
