Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Green Donut) by Ryan McGinness for EUR 7,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual Information in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Green Donut) von Ryan McGinness für EUR 7.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual Information im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
