Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Moored Boats, Kirkwall, Orkney; And By The Sea, Cullercoats by Russell Sidney Reeve for GBP 360.00 (€ 524.30). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russell Sidney Reeve - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Evening At The Piano, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,488.87).
