Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Overlooking Port Vendres by Rupert Bunny. It changed hands for a price of AUD 19,200.00 (€ 11,707.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rupert Bunny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Lisant in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 333,277.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Overlooking Port Vendres von Rupert Bunny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 19.200,00 (€ 11.707,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rupert Bunny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Lisant im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 333.277,13).
