Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Exile by Runa Islam was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,383.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Runa Islam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Utterlies/Butterflies in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,231.66).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Exile von Runa Islam wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.383,91) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Runa Islam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Utterlies/Butterflies im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.231,66).
