Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rudy Royval could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 125.00 (€ 101.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Rudy Royval have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2012 by the work Untitled (nude with stars); and two companion drawings at USD 250.00 (€ 203.00).
