Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The mill stream, Harrold by Rudolph Onslow Ford was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 456.03). Admittedly, works by Rudolph Onslow Ford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The garden path in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,830.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The mill stream, Harrold von Rudolph Onslow Ford im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 375,00 (€ 456,03) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolph Onslow Ford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The garden path im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.830,03).
