Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swiss The Street Musicians, Cairo by Rudolf Weisse was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,136.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Weisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bohemian a Moment Of Prayer in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 498,574.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Swiss The Street Musicians, Cairo von Rudolf Weisse wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
