Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction European Art: Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Athlet (Athlete) by Rudolf Maison. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 17,896.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Maison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wotan, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,716.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Art: Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Athlet (Athlete) von Rudolf Maison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 17.896,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Maison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wotan beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.716,39) versteigert wurde.
