Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study), 1925 by Rudolf Koppitz for USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,657.28). This price was achieved in the auction Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Koppitz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 399,000.00 (€ 330,462.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study), 1925 von Rudolf Koppitz für USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.657,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Koppitz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bewegungsstudie (Movement Study) im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 399.000,00 (€ 330.462,15).
